HUDCC employee confirmed Leni’s slacking, says human rights advocate

Doctor and human rights advocate Lorraine Marie Badoy said that an employee from the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council revealed that the Vice Presidency has in fact been slacking in her duties.

Badoy said that as someone who voted for Robredo, the VP “owes her” and therefore must tell the truth.

The HUDCC has 6 key agencies under it: PAG IBIG, the Home Guaranty Corporation (HGC) , the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), the National Housing Authority (NHA), the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC).

Accorrding to Badoy, a source revealed that Robredo only attended one board meeting and it was only for three key shelter agencies, Pag-IBIG, NHMFC anf HLURB.

She said that when Jejomar Binay was HUDCC chair, he held monthly meetings.

“The back story to this is the Vice President had her own set of nominees for heads of Key Shelter Agencies (KSAs)–Pag-IBIG, NHA, SHFC and she refused to hold meetings until her nominees were appointed. She didn’t want to work with the holdovers” she wrote.

“When she saw that it was going to take some time for her nominees to be appointed, that was when she finally called for a board meeting. And by then, it was OCTOBER.So she finally only got to sit with the KSA holdover heads in October–a full 3 months after she’d been assigned as HUDCC head.” she added.

She also said that Robredo was only able to work with one agency, the SHFMC, which is why most of her “accomplishments” only fall under it.

“This isn’t written in stone. I’d still want to be proven wrong about all these. So I want to know if the Vice President’s claims have been fact-checked. I have a right to know.” she added.
